Did you know that over 1,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide each day? How much funding does pediatric cancer receive?Fiscal Year 2021 Highlights. Funds available to the NCI totaled $6.35 billion , of which only 4% was allocated to Childhood Cancer Survivorship, Treatment, Access, and Research (STAR) Act. Even less is allocated to pediatric Brain Cancer (the deadliest cancer in children)research. It is up to all of us to fund research and find cures, so that someday we might find a cure
Our mission is to help raise awareness for pediatric brain cancer, fund research to find a cure, and offer emotional and financial support to pediatric cancer patients and their families.
JSF was founded in April, 2016 by the Passos family in memory of their daughter/sister Julia Passos; a beautiful, creative witty and loving 14-year old girl who lost her battle with glioblastoma, a malignant tumor affecting the brain.
Our amazing Board Members and Volunteers are committed to helping pediatric cancer patients and their families, raising awareness and funding research. We take our convictions and turn them into action.
