Meet Julia

Julia was born January 7, 2002. In 2014, at the age of 12 years old, she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a terminal brain cancer.

During Julia’s first round of radiation along with chemo in Jax, FL, we learned a lot about pediatric cancer families. Many families had to take a leave of absence from work in order to care of their children. This often led to impossible financial situations, and often job loss.

The Journey

It was Julia’s dream to find a way to help and better support these families. Even during the toughest times, Julia wanted to help the other sick kids.

Julia fought valiantly throughout her journey. Sadly, the cancer came back with a vengeance and Julia lost her battle to Glioblastoma on January 14, 2016.

The JSF Inception

We decided to continue Julia’s legacy by helping other families affected by childhood cancer. Our family and friends rallied for us while we were fighting this beast. It is time for us to rally together and help other families going through this as well.

Julia’s Star Childhood Cancer Foundation was created by Julia's family in April 2016 to continue to raise awareness and offer emotional and financial support to families affected by childhood cancer. Contact us for more information or for ways to get involved.
